Sanjay Manaktala was raised in the United States, and then moved to India, where he worked as a software engineer before turning to standup comedy in 2010. He was one of the earliest performers in Bengaluru, and helped nurture the city’s scene, which went on to produce some of the biggest names in Indian comedy. He has toured India with the British comedian Russell Brand, and performed more than 500 corporate shows across Asia.
