Another year, another lockdown. As Maharashtra enforces curfew-like restrictions and other states contemplate their own lockdown, looks like many of us will be stuck at home with nothing to do but our chores again. But don’t worry, Amazon Prime Video will keep you supplied with relatable laughs with their new show LOL – Hasse Toh Phasse, which was announced with a teaser trailer earlier today.
Boman Irani and Arshad Warsi will host the show, which also features an all star lineup of participants, including Aadar Malik, Aakash Gupta, Mallika Dua, Aditi Mittal, Ankita Shrivastav, Kusha Kapila, Cyrus Broacha, Sunil Grover, Gaurav Gera and Suresh Menon. The show will involve the participants trying to get a laugh out of each other in this six-episode series, with the last one to crack taking home the grand prize.”
Boman and I are tasked with keeping a close eye on the ten contestants who will be coming under one roof only with one intentionโto be the last one laughing,” said Arshad Warsi in a press release. Warsi’s co-host and co-star Irani added, “The Indian audiences love comedy, and with an entirely unique format with ten of India’s most hilarious comedians, this show is power-packed with absolute insanity, laughter and entertainment.”
With Amazon Prime Video’s latest announcement and Netflix’s brand new slate of comedy specials and the Comedy Premium League our OTT platforms are making sure we have enough viewing material on our plates.
