Kaneez Surka is a Mumbai-based improv artist most famous for the news satire TV show, The Week That Wasn’t with Cyrus Broacha on CNN-IBN (2006) and, more recently, her online comedy game show on YouTube, The General Fun Game Show. She has also played several characters on AIB’s sketches, and been a judge on TLC’s Queens of Comedy and Amazon Prime Video’s Comicstaan. Her improv group ‘The Improvisers’ includes fellow comics Abish Mathew, Kanan Gill, and Kenny Sebastian; their special The Improvisers: Something from Nothing dropped on Amazon Prime Video in 2018, followed by Improv All Stars – Game Night. Surka is now also experimenting with traditional standup comedy, in her signature awkward style.
