Surprise! Aziz Ansari is back. Sorry, that’s not the surprise. You already knew that. But we mean with a new special. Hot on the heels of his sold-out world tour of Road to Nowhere—which also passed through Mumbai and New Delhi—Ansari just announced that he’s got a new standup special, Aziz Ansari Right Now dropping on Netflix. Directed by Oscar-winning director Spike Jonze, it debuts on 9 July (next Tuesday).

The comedian’s last standup special, Live at Madison Square Garden, premiered on Netflix in 2015. He returns to the platform now for the first time since allegations of sexual misconduct were levelled against him last February, which threatened to end his career; something he addresses in Road to Nowhere.

The special is rumoured to have bits that may already be familiar to you if you caught a show of his recently concluded international tour, but will it still be worth your time and data plan? We’ll keep you posted.
