Hotstar Invites Comedians To Do Commentary For IPL 2021

The Indian Premier League returned this weekend after a brief hiatus with a high-octane match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, and the fans couldn’t be happier. The icing on the cake is that the tournament’s digital streaming partner Disney+ Hotstar has introduced a new twist to up the entertainment quotient for the viewers. The streaming service has announced an exclusive commentary feed titled Hotstar Dosts which has some of India’s top comedians and actors on the lineup.

Abhishek Upmanyu, Anubhav Singh Bassi, Zakir Khan, Amit Tandon, Harsh Gujral and Angad Singh Ranyal will be joining the cricketing action live every evening from the commentary box. In addition to the comics, actors Vrajesh Hirjee, Varun Sharma and YouTube star Amit Bhadana will also be part of the panel. Popular among young cricket fans, these comedians and actors will bring their own flavour to the matches.

The Hinglish language commentary can be accessed by the viewers in the audio settings of the streaming service.
