Indian-American comedian Zarna Garg is set to tour India with her show Practical People Win from 20-25 April. The first show will take place at Mumbai’s YB Chavan Auditorium, followed by another one in the city’s Bandra suburb the following day, before Garg jets off to New Delhi for her final show in the country.

“I’m absolutely elated to be bringing my comedy back to India, the country of my heritage,” Garg said in a statement. “This tour is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to connect with audiences in India and share my take on the Indian-American experience. As an Indian-American woman, I’ve always felt like I’ve had one foot in each world—navigating the cultural traditions and expectations of my heritage, while also embracing the more individualistic American way of life. It’s a delicate balance that has shaped my identity and worldview in profound ways.”

Garg—who first rose to fame on TikTok and Instagram with funny clips about immigrant mothers in America—has become a notable figure in the American standup scene after winning the comedy reality show Lyft Comics. Produced by Kevin Hart, the show featured up-and-coming comedians telling jokes while disguised as Lyft drivers. She also had a stellar 2023, touring with comedy heavyweights Amy Poehler and Tina Fey and releasing her debut standup comedy special One In A Billion.
