With the Indian healthcare system overwhelmed by a record-breaking surge in COVID-19 cases, doctors and medical workers have been risking their own lives to try and save their patients. Already exhausted from fighting the virus for over a year, these frontline medical staff are now battling the odds day and night. So it’s great to see Indian comedians try to bring some much needed laughter and comic relief into their lives.

Comedian Anshu Mor has offered to help doctors and nurses de-stress with a free performance of his 60-minute Zoomshow For You, With Love. ” Write to hello@talkingmime.in or DM me with your preferred day of the week & time. Pls tag your doctor friends,” said the comedian on Instagram.

Aditya Gundeti has also announced free COVID-19 Warrior passes for his upcoming online shows, while comedians Uddhav Parab and Garv Malik have offered to create a WhatsApp group for doctors and nurses in which they will share links to their comedy shows that happen daily at 10 PM.

On 14 April, Amit Tandon announced that he was offering free 30-minute sessions for people who are COVID positive and alone at home. Tandon had also told DeadAnt at the time that he was keen on conducting these sessions for doctors as well.
