The 4th annual Asian Comedy Fest is all set to take place on 5 and 6 May in New York and will feature performances by Kaneez Surka, Karen Chee (Late Night with Seth Meyers) and Yuhua Hamasaki (RuPaul’s Drag Race) among others. ACF is the longest-running Asian American and Pacific-Islander (AAPI) international comedy festival and aims to increase the visibility of AAPI comedians in the US standup scene.
This year, ACF will take place at Asian-owned club Sour Mouse and will feature 2 days of standup, musical comedy and drag from AAPI comedians with a grand finale hosted by Yuhua Hamasaki.
The festival will feature the likes of Dylan Adler (The Late Late Show With James Corden), Youngmi Mayer, Andrea Chin (Juno Award Winner Comedy Album of the Year) and more. Previous editions of the festival have included Ronny Chieng, Jes Tom and Michael Cruz Kayne.
ACF has teamed up with Asian American Arts Allianceโdedicated to promoting Asian American artistsโ interestsโas a charity partner for the festival. Over the course of the years, the festival has contributed more than $14,000 USD (approx. Rs. 11 lakh) to AAPI-focused charities.
