‘Tis the first award ceremony of 2026. New contender in the comedy category, AppleTV+’s The Studio, which dominated the Emmy awards last year with 13 wins, picked up a pair at the 83rd Golden Globes ceremony earlier this morning. Jean Smart’s flawless portrayal of standup comedian Deborah Vance on Hacks earned her yet another accolade. Some other winners in the comedy categories were Amy Poehler for her podcast Good Hang, Ricky Gervais for his special Mortality and Rose Byrne for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.
Like last year, the ceremony was hosted by Nikki Glaser and once again the comedian came out swinging. Leonardo Dicaprio, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jennifer Lawrence—nobody escaped Glaser’s crosshair. You can watch the entire ceremony on JioHotstar.
