Laughing Dead Comedy Festival
DeadAnt announced the first edition of our two-day comedy festival Laughing Dead in March 2023 with an all-star lineup featuring India’s top comedians and a secret international headliner, who will be revealed shortly. Taking place at Mumbai’s iconic Mehboob Studios from 18-19 March, this one is for everyone who uses humour as a coping mechanism in these increasingly absurd times. Produced by DeadAnt, India’s leading voice in comedy, Laughing Dead is a celebration of the beginning of the end. To ensure we have the best chance for survival, or at least go out doing what we love— laughing—we’ve put together five incredible shows with a line-up of some of the biggest names in comedy today (and once again, an international headliner)!

MidDay (16 March 2023) Mehboob Studios set to host a comedy festival this weekend
Comedy in India has seen a promising growth over the last few years. To document interesting developments in the scene, Ravina Rawal began Dead Ant Co. in 2019 as a space for all media and news related to comedy. Although the online publication is a big part of the organisation, it isn’t the only thing. They have also been working towards building an engaging community for both established as well as up and coming comics. This Saturday, the platform will celebrate its fourth successful year with a two-day festival called the Laughing Dead.
Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss will kick off the festival with his all-new show Can’t, that will feature a special appearance by Kai Humphries. This is the first time Sloss will be touring India with a show. In addition to this, the festival will be headlined by a line-up of top comedians from across the country, including Varun Grover, Gurleen Pannu, Aditi Mittal, Abhishek Upmanyu, Prashasti Singh, Rohan Joshi, and Sumaira Shaikh, among others.
