Munawar Faruqui is all set to be part of season 17 of Bigg Boss—the popular reality show hosted by Salman Khan, in which 17 celebrities are locked up together in a house for 105 days. The comedian made the announcement across his social media accounts last night. “Kehlaate hai jo khudko apne marzi ke maalik, dil, dimaag aur, dum ke iss naye daur mein, hone waala hai Munawar bhi shaamil! (Munawar is joining those who who call themselves the masters of their own will in this era of love, intelligence and courage)” read the caption of the post.

Other contestants on this season of the show include journalist Jigna Vora (the true-life inspiration for Netflix’s Scoop) and Sana Raees Khan, the criminal lawyer who represented Aryan Khan’s friend Avin Sahu in the drug case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son.

This will be Faruqui’s second time on a reality TV show, after his stint on Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp. Bigg Boss will premiere tonight on Colours TV and will also be streamed on JioCinema.
