Comedian Pranit More has issued a second public apology amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the viral ‘Rs 370 biryani’ crowdwork clip from one of his shows.

In a video shared on Instagram this morning, More acknowledged that he made a mistake by not intervening during the interaction and admitted that he got “carried away” by the audience’s reaction in the room. “Yeh meri kaafi badi galti thi,” he said, adding that he deserved the criticism he has received over the incident.

The controversy began after a crowdwork clip from More’s show went viral online. In the video, audience member Himanshu Jangra recounted a date during which he spent Rs 370 on chicken biryani and implied that the expense entitled him to physical intimacy. The interaction was met with laughter from both the audience and More, prompting widespread criticism online.

More had previously apologised and stated that the audience member’s remarks did not reflect his personal views, before deactivating his account. In his latest statement, he said he should have stopped the interaction and challenged the remarks instead of allowing the moment to continue. He also acknowledged that the controversy escalated because the clip was later uploaded and shared online.

Mujhe aise lagta hai ki yeh hate main deserve bhi karta hoon,” More said in the video, while also requesting an opportunity to learn from the episode and become a better person. He further stated that he is cooperating with the authorities investigating the matter.

The Maharashtra Cyber Cell registered an FIR against More, Jangra and others over allegedly objectionable content circulated online, while the National Commission for Women (NCW) has summoned both More and Jangra in connection with the case.
