Comicstaan is a reality series in which aspiring standup comics compete against each other to win the clunky but cool title of ‘India’s Next Best Standup Comic’. Contestants are judged and mentored by a panel comprising seven of India’s biggest comedians.

The winner of Season 1 was Nishant Suri, closely followed by Rahul Dua. The duo has since been touring with The Dua-Suri Show, a showcase of 30 minutes each, across the country to packed rooms. But was everything as it seemed? Did their jealousy get the better of them? Can two male comedians ever really be friends?

The most exciting thing that happened on Comicstaan was that we discovered a bunch of new voices with immense potential to take over the scene and give the first gen something to worry about. And that (at least) is no joke.
