Ricky Gervais and Nikki Glaser scored their first-ever Grammy nominations for Best Comedy Album, with Dave Chappelle, Jim Gaffigan and Trevor Noah also earning nods in the category.
Gervais, Chappelle and Noah were nominated for Armageddon, The Dreamer, and Where Was I respectively, all released on Netflix. Glaser’s special Someday You’ll Die, meanwhile, came out on HBO. Gaffigan scored a nomination for The Prisoner, the only one of the selected sets to have been released exclusively in album form.
It’s a tough field this year. Gervais’ Armageddon has already won the first-ever Golden Globe for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy, while Glaser, Noah and Chappelle have earned multiple Emmy nods for their specials.
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2.
