Just eight months after setting the record for the most wins in a single season by a comedy series, FX’s comedy-drama The Bear has outdone itself with 11 wins at the 76th annual Emmy Awards. Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach came out on top in the Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series once again respectively. Their co-star Liza Colรณn-Zayas won her first Emmy as well winning in the Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

The biggest shock came when the showโ€”which was a frontrunner in the Comedy Series categoryโ€”lost out to Hacks. The show’s lead actress Jean Smart picked up the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Richard Gadd’s semi-autobiographical black comedy Baby Reindeer was announced as the Outstanding Limited Series. Gadd’s portrayal also won him the award for Lead actor in a Limited or Anthology Series.

The ceremony was hosted by father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy. Saturday Night Live! alumni Maya Rudolph, Seth Meyers and Kristen Wiig came to celebrate the show’s 50th season. They also poked some fun at the fact that Lorne Michaelsโ€”the creator and producer of SNLโ€”has received 85 Emmy nominations for the show but never won a single one. He is the most nominated individual in the award show’s history with a tally of 102.
