Kapil Sharma is set to make his comeback with The Great Indian Kapil Show, a new Netflix series that sees him return to the popular sketch-comedy meets talk-show format. The show’s trailer—which dropped on YouTube this morning—hints at a star-studded interview lineup, featuring celebrity guests such as Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer. Each episode will also include sketches featuring The Kapil Sharma Show regulars Archana Puran Singh, Rajiv Thakur, Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek. Sunil Grover also makes his return after he left the show in 2017, following a rumoured altercation with Sharma.

The duo address this incident in the trailer with Sharma quipping, in reaction to one of Grover’s antics, that: “yahi baatein hoti hai jiske wajah se ladaiyan hoti hai.”

“The Great Indian Kapil Show feels like a homecoming,” Grover said in a press statement. “We just picked up from where we left off. The trailer is just a small glimpse of the madness and fun we’ve had on the show. Our Indian fans are like family, and this time, we’ll reach a worldwide audience, thanks to Netflix.”

This is Sharma and Netflix’s second collaboration after 2022’s standup comedy special I’m Not Done Yet. The Great Indian Kapil Show will premiere on 30 March at 8 pm, with new episodes dropping every Saturday.
