Indian comedy fans were in for a treat yesterday as international comedy sensation Anthony Jeselnik made his live debut in the country, as part of the DeadAnt Loop. The comedian performed his latest hour Bones and All, and had the packed crowd at Shanmukhananda Hall rolling in their seats in shocked laughter.
Don’t just take our word for it. Dozens of India’s top comediansโincluding Zakir Khan, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Kunal Kamra, Rohan Joshi, Prashasti Singh and Shreeja Chaturvediโcame out to see the Dark Prince of Comedy in action and raved about his set.
It wasn’t just Jeselnik who wowed the audience with his incredible command over the comedic craft. Opening act Kelly Ryan warmed up the crowd flawlessly with her bright, cheerful and chirpy persona as she dished out increasingly dark jokes during her half-hour set. “She was absolutely incredible and set the show up to be a slam dunk with her energy,” Rohan Joshi wrote on Instagram.
