Perhaps the biggest endorsement of Anthony Jeselnikโs Bones And All show in Bengaluru came from an ecstatic 65-year-old woman who had tagged along with her daughter, with no idea of what to expect. It was a litmus testโcan the Dark Prince of Comedy win over a 65-year-old lady from Karnataka? Yes he can. โI have no words to explain what Iโm feeling,โ Jeselnikโs newest fan told DeadAnt, grinning with obvious delight.
Hers was just one of the many happy faces we caught after Jeselnik wrapped up his India tour at the Good Shepherd Auditorium. He left the crowd jonesing for more of his trademark dark humour, as they recalled their favourite bits and shared their thoughts after the show. “I still can’t believe I saw him live,” said comedian Sumit Sourav. “It was everything I had hoped for and more. When is he coming back?”
Well, we canโt answer that just yet, but the international comedy superstar did promise to return to India for a more relaxed and extensive tour. “I would not be coming back if not for the experience I have had with DeadAnt,” Jeselnik said towards the end of his set. “At the end of a long, long tour, this has been an oasis and I will absolutely come back and I will tell everyone I know. If there’s a comic you want to see, tell me and I’ll tell them to come here.”
So, if youโve got a wishlist of international comedians you want to see, you know what to do. While we bask in the afterglow of a successful tour, here’s a window into the final day of the DeadAnt Loop with Anthony Jeselnik!
The Jeselnik Loop, Day 3: Anthony Jeselnik In Namma Bengaluru
