Comedian and actor Vir Das has signed on with the United Talent Agency for worldwide representation in all areas. He joins fellow Indian comic Kanan Gill on the roster of the California-based agency, which features some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry among its clients, including comedy stars Russell Peters, Hannah Gadsby, Ali Wong, Seth Meyers, Eric Andre, Patton Oswalt and Will Ferrell.

One of the most powerful talent agencies in Hollywood, UTA will help Das get more of a foothold in the United States, where he made a splash with his guest appearances on Conan. Das made his US TV debut in 2019 as a series regular on ABC drama Whiskey Cavalier.

With three specials and Hindi comedy-murder series Hasmukh on Netflix and unscripted reality television show Jestination Unknown on Amazon Prime, Das is also making moves in the OTT platform space. UTA representation will undoubtedly help him reach the right venues, audiences and decision-makers in the global entertainment industry.

Das has had a busy COVID-19 lockdown, with the launch of Hasmukh followed by a virtual international tour and the release of India’s first lockdown charity special.
