If there’s one mind that the Devil is definitely not going to set up shop in, it’s the one belonging to Vir Das. The comedian, who recently announced The Mind Fool World Tour—his biggest tour till date which includes 33 countries and iconic venues such as The Apollo, Carnegie Hall and The Chicago Theatre—will star alongside Ananya Pandey and Gurfateh Pirzada in Call Me Bae, a slice of life comedy series produced by Dharma Productions’ digital banner Dharmatics, which will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video India.

Directed by Collin D’Cunha, the series chronicles the life of a billionaire fashionista who is ostracised from her wealthy family following a lewd controversy.

With appearances in cult comedies such as Delhi Belly and Go Goa Gone—and having co-created and starred on Netflix show Hasmukh—Vir Das has already proved his mettle as an actor. Fans have been waiting for his return but his many international tours and projects have kept him away from the screen. That wait now finally comes to an end.

Created by Ishita Moitra with Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair having contributed as writers, the series has concluded shooting and is expected to stream by the end of the year.
