A walk down any lane of Mumbai today will take your breath away. No, it’s not because of the stunning architecture or the marvellous infrastructure (that has been promised to us for years). It’s the rising AQI levels that come with incessant road digging, high-rise constructions and millions of pollutant pumping vehicles on the road. And to raise awareness about this pressing issue and use comedy for a positive change, 25 comedians took the stage at Mumbai’s Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir last night as part of DeadAnt Live’s proprietary show Laughs Per Minute: Breathless Edition.
Hosted by Daniel Fernandes, the evening was all about high-speed comedy while taking aim at the pollution that has taken over our country. Comedians came on stage and rattled off punchline after punchline in the 60 seconds they got. The result? The audience gasping for air only this time it was because of the best reason possible—laughing too much and too loud.
It was like watching a comedy show at 2.5x speed but we managed to capture some moments from the show. Scroll down for a glimpse.
