Amit Tandon is ending 2021 on a high. The comedian just finished taping a new special, and now it’s been revealed that he will host a new comedy show on Sony SAB alongside actor Jiya Shankar. Titled Goodnight India, the half-hour show is set to premiere in January 2022.

The show will air 6 nights a week with over four months’ worth of episodes currently being shot, Tandon told Deadant. “The vibe of the show will be warm and not loud, in the same slice-of-life zone as most SAB TV comedy shows,” he said. “I’ll do some standup, and there will also be other comedians and surprise guests. We’ve focused on YouTube comedians for this show.”

Tandon has been busy this year, trying his hand at a number of different formats. He launched the Andar Ki Baat podcast on Spotify this summer, and was the co-creator (along with Gursimran Khamba) of SonyLiv’s satirical webseries Chalo Koi Baat Nahi.
