Spread the love

“India’s happiest festival”, Bacardi NH7 Weekender is back in its 10th year with a lineup that this time features some of the biggest names in both music and comedy. Spread over three power-packed days, they’ll be at their usual haunt—the Mahalaxmi Lawns in Pune from 29 November to 1 December. Friendly advice: please sort your logistics well in advance, unless you’re okay to pass out on the streets.

Primarily a music festival featuring both local indie talent and big international headliners, NH7 Weekender added comedy shows for the first time in its 2017 edition. This year, they’ve got a dedicated, full-day stage for comedy. And of course between running from one show to the other, trying not to drown in those potent Bacardi buckets, you also have the food stalls and shopping bazaar.

The Comedy Lineup

The 2019 edition of Weekender will showcase a whole range of comedians. For starters, the entire Comicstaan Season 2 entourage will be performing – the contestants: Supriya Joshi, Sumit Sourav, Shreeja Chaturvedi, Raunaq Rajani, and the winners Aakash Gupta and Samay Raina; the judges: Biswa Kalyan Rath, Kanan Gill, Kenny Sebastian, Neeti Palta, Zakir Khan and Sumukhi Suresh, along with host Urooj Ashfaq.

There’s also Aadar Malik bringing music and comedy together, Alexander Babu and Bhadipa Showcase for regional flavour, and Rahul Subramanian and Varun Thakur. And joining them will be Surbhi Bagga, Shaad Shafi, Sejal Bhat, Rueben Kaduskar, Prathyush Chaubey, Prashasti Singh, Pavitra Shetty, Neetu Bhardwaj and Anubhav Singh Bassi.

As for buying your tickets, don’t treat this like you NYE Goa trip. November-December isn’t too far at all for NH7 Weekender tickets. Buy the three-day pass before they up the prices. Note: If you’re under 21, they have marked down ticket prices just for you!

Click. Buy. Enjoy.
