This week, we recommend Boston-born, NYC-based Joe List’s new comedy special I Hate Myself, now streaming for free on Comedy Central’s YouTube channel.
No political commentary, no socio-cultural hot takes, no lockdown jokes—and still a steady 50 minutes of observational loops and solid laughs. We love his easy delivery and, contrary to what the name of the special implies, how much he hates everybody else. Because SAME. Come for the pains of taking flights, stay for the hysterical stories of him growing increasingly suspicious of doctors and trying to spice up ‘married sex’.
We don’t do star-ratings, but if you were at the Comedy Cellar in NYC watching this, we can guarantee you wouldn’t have a problem with the two-drink minimum. It’s Joe at the Cellar, and it’s fun. Remember what that feels like?
