Dead Ant’s editorial guidelines bar us from ever using the word CRAY, but there’s no other way to describe the weekend past (sorry, bawse!). Liverpool knocked Chelsea 2-0 in the Premier League. RCB showed some signs of redemption with their win on Saturday. A bunch of our comedians are busy with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. And in the middle of all this frenzy, there was also the maddening excitement of the first episode of the final season of Game of Thrones.

India scored a GoT simulcast with the US. This meant that fans across the country were setting their alarms to wake up in the wee hours of the morning, hoping to catch the episode before getting sucked in by the day’s spoilers.

Blessed are those who are not GoT fans. Because waking up earlier than usual on what is already a Monday morning, with a whole week of work ahead, just sounds way too hectic.

We took our cue from Mallika Dua last night, who posted an Instagram Story informing followers that she will most definitely not be waking up early to catch the episode, warning anyone who thinks they’ll get away with ruining her day by discussing spoilers online.

“Just please relax.”

But can you really stop comedians from doing… anything? To no one’s surprise, their social media handles have been buzzing all day! We’ve helpfully rounded it all up for you.

There was general cheer…

And with so much happening across pop culture and sports, it was a great playing field for some of the usual suspects to crack crossover jokes.

Of course we couldn’t duck the PJs if we tried…

…Ditto for some really great bad dubbing.

Basic observations…

…and harsh realities.

There was fan prep aplenty…

…And some still trying to catch up.

The spoilsports who refused to play at all…

…and those with their own agenda, who just land up anywhere.

Kunal Kamra, just here for content.
