Thanks to the Internet and every millennial’s unhinged addiction to nostalgia, the Bollywood cult classic Andaz Apna Apna (1994) has become a force to reckon with when it comes to Indian pop culture. While the debate on how good the film actually is still finds its way back to Twitter at least once every three months, we happened to rewatch it (can’t pretend to care about The Crown anymore) and took great joy in rediscovering all the easter eggs and self-referential jokes the rom-com is littered with.

Remember that scene when Salman Khan’s character is asked if he has seen the movie Sholay? “Haan, dus baar,” he replies, and Aamir Khan jokingly adds, “Iske baap ne likhi hai”. This reference is factually true, Salim Khan is actually the co-writer of Sholay. Yeah, sh*t like that.

2. Paresh Rawal who plays the double role of Ram and Shyam Bajaj (Teja kaun hai? Mark kidhar hai??) is credited… twice!

3. The names of the rest of the cast, which includes Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor, are spelt funny… what is the because?

4. The (pretty iconic) supporting cast hasn’t been spared either:
