Want to win a Macbook Pro AND get a holiday with Kunal Kamra? Better open up your unlicensed copies of Photoshop and get meme-ing, because Kamra has just announced a new contest called Now Who Did This?, to give back to the keyboard warriors who create all our “relatable af” posts.
Announcing the contest on 14 August, Kamra—who is known for his own memes, usually captioned with “now who did this?”—said in a video posted on YouTube and Instagram that “meme culture ek aisi cheez hai jo hamesha hum enjoy karte hain. Aur memers ke baare mein log bohot kam baat karte hai (Meme culture is one thing everyone enjoys, but very few people talk about memers).”
The winner of the contest will be titled ‘Asli Memer’ by the comedian and win a MacBook Pro. And now that Kamra can get on a plane again, he’s also going to take the winner on a week-long vacation in Amsterdam with himself!
People can send in their entries at firstname.lastname@example.org before 22 August and the comedian and his team will shortlist their favourites, with one memer eventually winning the grand prize. “Yeh jo prize money hai uska koi sponsor nahi hai. Yeh main apni FD tudva ke de raha hoon (There is no sponsor behind this prize money. I’m giving this money myself),” said the comic in the video. So that means the participants can go in all guns blazing and do whatever it takes to make the comedian crack up.
“Please enjoy yourself, so I can enjoy myself,” said Kamra. So get going and send in your entries to win a chance to chill with the anti-national #1.
