Kusha Kapila has separated from her husband Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia, the couple announced via Instagram yesterday. In separate statements posted on Instagram, they said that the decision was a mutual one, as “what we seek currently for ourselves doesn’t align.” Kapila and Ahluwalia have been together for more than a decade and got married in 2017. In the posts—which they made simultaneously—the two reaffirmed their love, respect and support for each other and their commitment to co-parent their dog, Maya.
“Zorawar and I have mutually decided to part ways. This hasn’t been an easy decision by any measure but we know it’s the right one at this point in our lives. The love and life we shared together continues to mean everything to us, but sadly, what we seek currently for ourselves doesn’t align,” said Kapila on Instagram. “We gave it our all, until we couldn’t anymore.”
