The countless memes about how STRESSFUL and terribly time-consuming it is to decide what to watch seems to have gotten to Netflix. They decided to take it upon themselves to help us decide (after all they are competing with sleep to get our attention).

Like being an independent OTT giant wasn’t enough, even our YouTube timeline is now flooded with Netflix India’s prompts: trailers of new shows, spoofs of those new shows, sketches, reviews of fresh shows, reviews of existing shows and then some more. And they’ve been doing this with some of the big names in the comedy industry—Kenny Sebastian in the Typewriter sketch, Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya imagining how strange would Stranger Things be if it were in India, and Kusha Kapila and Srishti Dixit Behensplaining.

The latest addition to their YouTube roster is a brand new show, called…The Brand New Show which will have a brand new host in each episode that will air every fortnight on the Netflix India YouTube channel.

The host for the first week was audience favorite billi maasi, Kusha Kapila and the other cast members, Rytasha Rathore (Badho Bahu fame), Manik Papneja, Sainee Raj, and Aseem Chandaver (part of Tadpatri Talkies) who will be returning characters in the show to feature in the sketches and the games alongside the guests. The show is written by Adhiraj Singh and comedians Supriya Joshi, Devanshi Shah, Aman Jotwani, Dhruv Deshpande and Urjita Wani.

The first episode featured Sobhita Dhulipala and Kirti Kulhari who feature in the series Bard of Blood, streaming on Netflix.

Some more insights into characters of different shows, what goes behind the scenes, and yet another interactive platform which can basically hook those who’re still resisting the monthly subscription. So now, there’s new content on Netflix and new FREE content on their YouTube. Good luck catching up on that sleep thing you’ve forgotten about!
