Indian comedian Rahul Subramanian is one of the nine nominees for the Most Outstanding Show award at the 2025 Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF). Subramanianโwho has been nominated for his solo special Who Are You?โwill be competing with Ahir Shah, Olga Koch, Garry Starr, Brett Blake and four other comedians from across the world for Australia’s top live comedy award.
“My show got nominated at MICF,” the comedian announced on Instagram yesterday. “Or as they say on LinkedIn: I am deeply humbled to share with all of you that my stand up comedy show โWho Are You?โ has been nominated for the most outstanding show this year at the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival .. None of this would have been possible without the guidance of my Boss, my team and the company that I do not work for. Thoughts?”
Subramanian is a veteran of MICF, making his debut at the world’s largest stand-alone comedy festival all the way back in 2018. His nomination follows Kanan Gill’s nod for the same award last year, for his special What Is This?. This year’s winners will be announced on Saturday, alongside additional awards including Best Newcomer, The Golden Gibboโwhich honours independent local shows that push the creative envelopeโand The Pinder Prize, which honours festival co-founder John Pinder.
