Are you over 40 or thereabouts? Neal Brennan’s new comedy special Crazy Good should be your Sunday night plan.

The terrible news, Brennan tells us, is that he’s no longer being sucked into the quicksand of his depression; in fact, he’s feeling great again.

The good news, though, is that he still hates everything. Fuck crypto, fuck hustlepreneurs, fuck women on “journeys”, fuck your trauma(aaaaaaaaaah), fuck documentaries, fuck your triggers, fuck gymnastics. He only takes a break from this tirade to highlight and then illustrate with examples (5 marks) that the greatest, most famous people in the world are psychopaths or drug addicts. Including comedians. “People who are good at something are optimised for that thing, and absolutely nothing else.”

At 53 minutes, it’s the quickest reassurance you can find anymore that no one gives a shit about anything except binge watching TV. Ah, a peaceful, meditative Sunday evening at last.

Now streaming on Netflix.
