Judd Apatow’s pandemic inspired film The Bubble has begun shooting and the latest to join the all-star cast are Rob Delaney, Samson Kayo, Danielle Vitalis and our very own… wait for it… Vir Das! The comic will be joining the already stellar cast including Maria Bakalova, Pedro Pascal, Karen Gillian, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, Guz Khan and David Duchovny on what is Apatow’s Netflix feature film debut. Das announced his addition to the project via an Instagram post this morning.
During a recent interview with Film Companion for their FC Front Row eventโin partnership with DeadAntโDas mentioned an extremely exciting project that he was working on in Hollywood. Well, it doesn’t get more exciting than this.
Working alongside comedy veteran Judd Apatowโwho co-wrote the script with Pam Brady of South Park fameโDas has entered the (really) big leagues. This will be Das’ second collaboration with the streaming giant since Hasmukh, where he played an Indian comic who is only funny as long as he continues murdering people. We can’t wait to see what he brings to this ensemble comedy!
