Kommune’s Spoken Fest is back for its fourth edition and this time it’s personal (kidding). One of India’s few poetry, spoken word, music and story-telling festivals, the event promises to be as immersive and wonderful as it has consistently been. This year’s line-up includes performances by Vir Das, Sumukhi Suresh, Mithila Palkar, Durga Gawde, Yalgaar and Rajat Sood on 19th and 20th November at Mumbai’s Jio Gardens.

On Day 1, you can watch comedians Vir Das, Sumukhi Suresh and Rajat Sood do what they do best—tickle your funnybone while never having to use cringy words like “funnybone” in their set. The first day will also feature performances by Osho Jain and Kochi folk band When Chai Met Toast. On Day 2 you can find ‘Little Things’ actress Mithila Palkar and popular musicians including Sid Sriram, Deveshi Sahgal and Rakesh Tiwari perform on-stage.

Conceptualized by actor-director and theater personality Roshan Abbas, the two-day festival will have multiple stages, interactive workshops and a few master classes as well. There will also be art zones, a curated bazaar and experiential brand interactions.

In a press statement, comedian Sumukhi Suresh said, “I am nervous and excited to be part of the Spoken Fest. Nervous because spoken doesn’t expect you to be only entertaining but also honest and hopefully vulnerable. I hope I live up to the challenge.”
