The trailer for Anubhav Singh Bassi’s highly anticipated debut standup comedy special Bas Kar Bassi dropped yesterday on YouTube! The special will be a culmination of a show Bassi has been taking on tour since 2018.

As the trailer begins, Bassi says, “Show ka naam Bas Kar Bassi hai, iska koi matlab nahi hai, theek hai? Meri career ki story hai, jo 4-5 saal maine banayi hai. Suno aur jao.” (The show’s name is Bas Kar Bassi and there’s no meaning behind it, okay? It’s the story of my career, the 4-5 years of work that I’ve put in. Listen and leave.)

Viewers can expect Bassi’s typical anecdotal style to shine through in the special. In a statement, the comedian said, “This show is extremely close to my heart. All of these are crucial, life-defining episodes of my life that have ultimately brought me to my calling.”

Bas Kar Bassi will premiere on Prime Video on Wednesday, 1 February.
