Shreeja Chaturvedi has been on tour with her solo Superiority Complex since the beginning of the year. The comedian will be hitting Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Chandigarh on this leg of her tour, and she will be recording the Delhi show at the Akshara Theatre for an upcoming YouTube release. If you’re going for the live recording make sure you don’t fall asleep in your seat. Chaturvedi hates that. She might pick on you. And then you’ll have to bare the brunt of her superiority complex on camera for all to see. Good luck with that, you civilian.

HOW MANY SHOWS ARE YOU DOING, ACROSS HOW MANY CITIES?

For this month, it’s just five to six shows, across four cities.

HOW LONG DID YOU SPEND WRITING THE SHOW?

These bits have [been] developed from 2022 onwards and are still developing, of course. Some jokes might be four years old if I am being completely honest. But most of it has been worked on over the past one and a half years.

IS THIS ALREADY LEADING UP TO A RECORDED SPECIAL FOR A STREAMING PLATFORM?

Not at all. Just recording for my hard disk. And for YouTube, I will be recording at the Akshara Theatre, Delhi on the 14th.

WHY SHOULD WE WATCH IT LIVE?

I don’t have any non-selfish answers to give. Except that the live show will be a better hang.

Shop for some local crafts; Sambalpuri bed covers in Hyderabad, Chennai silk at Chennai airport. If there are no local things then I just buy stationery.

IF YOU HAD TO PICK ONE FAMILY MEMBER TO ACCOMPANY YOU ON TOUR, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

My mother probably, she’ll enjoy the shopping.
