Yesterday, Sahil Shah announced on Instagram that his latest show ‘Broken’ is finally ready to be taped. The comedian revealed that he will be recording the hour on 9 November at the Veda Kunba Theatre, Mumbai. This will be Shah’s first special since ‘Childish Behaviour’, which released six years ago.
In the Instagram reel, the comedian explained that a lot has changed since then. Flanked by his cat (Kurkure) and dog (Bagel), the lightsaber-wielding comedian said, “I became a parent, and I’m not childish anymore.”
“I released my first special Childish Behaviour when I was 27 years old,” Shah told us in January this year before heading out on his 12-city India tour. “At the time I was super immature and I relished in the fact that I liked seeing people fall down stairs. [โฆ] Right now Iโm 33. Iโm old, tiredโฆand broken. Thatโs what this show is about! Itโs the antithesis to Childish Behaviour! A deeply personal show that talks about our collective deteriorating mental health and what we can do to survive as the most tired generation aka Gen Ex-hausted.”
Shah has been developing his hour for three years, touring across India and the world, performing in the United Kingdom, Vietnam and Thailand.
