It’s that time of the year again. We just had Blake Freeman, Michelle Brasier and Tom Cashman from Australia bring the Melbourne International Comedy Festival roadshow to India in 2019 (ending their tour at NH7 Weekender, Pune), and now we’re packing off some of our best to the festival—now in its 33rd year.

*drumroll*

Azeem Banatwalla (who has also performed at the festival in 2018), Biswa Kalyan Rath (who just finished an extensive North America tour), Rohan Joshi (who has a new, freshly-baked special out) and Urooj Ashfaq (a former Queen of Comedy) will be at the The Indian All-Star Comedy Showcase at MICF this year.

Last year, Kanan Gill took his special, ‘Teetar‘ (now called ‘Yours Sincerely’ and scheduled to release on Netflix this year) to the festival while Rahul Subramanian did his crowd-work show ‘Is this Even Comedy?’. Sumit Anand performed ‘Nothing about Godzilla’ and The Improv Dream Team (comprised of Kanan Gill, Rahul Subramanian, Naveen Richard and Kaneez Surka) did their thing. Lastly, Anubav Pal, Sonali Thakker and Anirban Dasgupta performed at The Indian All-Star Comedy Showcase and Comedy Zone.

Multiple comedians from India have performed at the festival over the past few years and completely killed; you can watch some of the best ones here.

And if you are based out of Melbourne or can make it to the festival (on from 25 March to 19 April), here’s the ticket link!
