Sapan Verma and Vir Das are all set to be part of the latest edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

Sapan Verma has been announced as the host for the awards night at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). The festival aims to showcase Indian cinema to Australian audiences, screening documentaries, mainstream Bollywood films, indie and regional cinema. The festival will take place from 14 to 24 August.

Another Indian comedian who is a part of the festival is Vir Das. The International Emmy award-winner will be interviewed by Rajeev Masand on 17 August as part of the event IFFM Chats which aims to highlight the best talent at IFFM 2025. The duo will unpack Das’ journey from performing at open mics to becoming India’s trailblazing comedian. Masand will also interview Malaika Arora, Arvind Swami and Mukesh Chhabra. Tickets for the event will go live shortly.

Indian comedian Varun Grover’s directorial debut All India Rank was screened at the 2023 edition of the IFFM.
