The Golden Globes nominations have been announced and it looks like the comedy categories are in for a tough battle. While you have critical darlings like Only Murders In The Building, Hacks and Barry on the list, newcomers The Bear, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Banshees of Inisherin, and Abbott Elementary have scored some big nominations as well. The ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on 10 January (or early in the am on 11 for those in India) and will be hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael.

PS: In non-comedy news India’s RRR has been nominated for Best Non-English Language Film and Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu. Will this be the year Indian action cinema finally gets the plaudits it deserves? Will the judges have to go into social media witness protection if they don’t? Most exciting side-bet at an awards show since people started betting on the possibility of Kanye shenanigans at each Grammys edition.
