Vir Das has had a busy, busy lockdown. When he’s not recording insta videos from his bedroom, he’s busy touring the world virtually, having performed over 30 online shows in the past few months. Now, he’s put together an unscripted 30-minute comedy special focused on the crowd-work from those 30 shows. Releasing on 21 August, Inside Out will be the first Indian special to come out during the lockdown, and—in keeping with the spirit of the times—also the first Indian charity special.

The proceeds from the special, which is available on a pay-what-you-want model with a minimum of Rs. 30 or $1, will go to four charities that have been vetted by Vir Das and his team. These charities include Cry India, HelpAge India, Doctors For You, and animal charity VOSD. You can sign up to watch the special on Das’s website here.
