Self-proclaimed madman Punit Pania is out on the loose (and touring again). This time with his three Six Sigma tested shows across Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore and Chennai. The comedian has constantly been on tour over the years so much so it’s become a second nature of sorts. After the release of his first special No Country For Moderation on YouTube earlier this year, Pania is all set to continue touring with his three other shows before he retires them to a similar fate on the streaming platform. HOW LONG DID YOU SPEND WRITING THE SHOW?
Gainfully Employed is my oldest show, so it has a combination of some of my oldest and newest jokes spanning across more than 5 years! Notes From The Bunker is newer; I started writing it during the lockdown and it is now close to completion. The newest show is less than a year old and I am still working on it.
IS THIS ALREADY LEADING UP TO A RECORDED SPECIAL FOR A STREAMING PLATFORM?
I have just released my first special No Country for Moderation on YouTube and the response has been quite encouraging. I plan to do the same with the other two specials once they have run their course.

WHY ARE YOU CALLING THIS TOUR ‘THE NEVER ENDING TOUR’?
I have been touring like a madman for years now to the point where I feel I can’t take a break even if I want to!
ON A SCALE OF 1 – WTFAMIDOING, HOW NERVOUS ARE YOU?
After all these years and thousands of hours on stage, there is never nervousness. Only eagerness to dish out the best show possible and an experience the audience remembers.
YOU’RE TOURING THREE DIFFERENT SHOWS AT THE SAME TIME. TELL US HOW THAT WORKS?
All three shows are different in style, content and theme and represent the different stages of my life that I wrote them during. I try to do one each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in most cities so that people can catch at least one of the three shows on a given weekend, then catch the other one on my next visit. Some people watch all three on the same weekend!
WITH ALL THE TOURING, HOW MANY HOTEL ROOMS DO YOU THINK YOU’VE BEEN TO OVER THE LAST YEAR?
I have reached the déjà vu stage where every hotel room I see I feel like I have been there before.
