Comedian and talk show host Abish Mathew is back with season five of his popular YouTube series Journey of a Joke. A treat for comedy nerds, each episode of the series has one comedian tell us all about the hours of thought and practice that went into crafting the viral bits that put them on the radar. It’s a great way to gain insight into how comedians work differently to ultimately reach the same goal—get a crowd laughing uncontrollably.

The new season premiered yesterday on Mathew’s YouTube channel, with Aishwarya Mohanraj joining the host to break down her famous My Pregnancy Test bit. In the hour-long episode Mathew dives deep into the mind of the Comicstaan contestant, exploring her writing process, open mic rituals, how her personality has affected her comedy over the years and lastly… how she convinced her parents to let her upload the bit.
